Safety, privacy and community standards
A plain-language beta summary of how Midturn protects people while keeping daily conversations pseudonymous.
Community rules
Midturn is for adults to have candid, respectful conversations. Harassment, threats, hate, stalking, scams, sexual solicitation, graphic violence, and illegal content are prohibited. Explicit sexual content is not allowed in posts or private messages.
NSFW labels
Authors must label posts NSFW when they are not suitable for the standard feed. NSFW posts remain clearly marked and may appear in Trending during the privately circulated beta.
Private images
A person cannot send you an image until you explicitly allow images from that sender. Permission is directional, may be revoked at any time, and ends when either person blocks the other. Images are safety-scanned before delivery.
Age and profiles
Midturn is for people aged 18 and over. Your birth date is used to check eligibility; only your birth year and verification record are retained. Gender, age range, city, and country are optional public profile fields.
Zero Hour and retention
Public turns disappear from the app at 00:00 UTC for everyone. Disappearance is not immediate deletion: ordinary content may be retained for up to 30 days for reliability and safety. Evidence connected to reports may be retained longer where reasonably necessary.
Reports, blocks and emergencies
Every person can report content and block another person separately. Blocks persist across daily persona changes. Midturn reviews urgent safety reports first. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Privacy
Midturn uses a private internal account identifier and does not show your sign-in identity to other users. Do not share precise addresses, workplaces, legal names, or other identifying information in an anonymous conversation.
